The Kettlethorpe pub in Kettlethorpe, Wakefield has been transformed with a significant joint investment by pub owners Red Oak Taverns and tenant partner Joe Hudson.  The recent renovation includes all new décor, fixtures and fittings and full external refurbishment with lighting, signage and garden improvements.  Much needed work to the function room, toilets and kitchen have also been completed to this fantastic community local.

The pub is operated by local resident Joe who has brought his extensive experience to the pub since his arrival in July 2020.  To add to the pubs transformation, he has introduced a weekend Bottomless Brunch with tapas and small plate menu and new events including quiz nights, karaoke and live Sky Sports.

Business development manager for Red Oak Taverns, Spencer Worsey said, “The pub has been completely changed with the investment and with Joe at the helm it has become a proper community pub.  It’s going to be a great venue for the area”.

Speaking about his new look pub, Joe said, “I took over the pub with Red Oak Taverns just over a year ago but then we had the Covid pandemic, so the investment was delayed slightly but now it looks fantastic.  I want it to become a centre for the community.  We have fenced the garden off which is surrounded by trees and installed play equipment so the pub is now also child and dog friendly.  I’m looking forward to welcoming more people now we’ve re-opened”.
