The Anchor Inn, Boroughbridge which is operated by local lady, Lesley Jackson has undergone a major makeover inside and out from pub owners Red Oak Taverns.

The community pub which sits on the edge of the market town near the river has a large garden and car park. The refurbishment includes new exterior signage, fully revamped toilets, complete redecoration throughout, new furniture and fixtures and fittings. Artwork displayed in the pub now celebrates the history and bygone days of the market town.

Speaking about the new look pub, business development manager for pub owners, Red Oak Taverns, Spencer Worsey said, “Lesley is a brilliant publican who has worked tirelessly in creating a fantastic community pub both before and after the investment. With the pub now being transformed, more of the community will get to enjoy her wonderful hospitality”.

Landlord Lesley Jackson added, “The Anchor is a proper community pub and I’m delighted with the renovation from Red Oak Taverns. Working with Red Oak Tavern has been easy. They have been very supportive throughout the investment and took on my ideas and opinions for the pub.

“We will be introducing bar food alongside all our regular activities and events which include pool, darts, music and entertainment”.
