The Greenwood pub in Chelmsley Wood has won the first Pub of the Year competition held by local MP Saqib Bhatti.  The MP held his inaugural Meriden’s Pub of the Year competition to highlight the wonderful establishments in the area, shining a light on local pubs to encourage people to visit them.

In handing over the award, Saqib Bhatti MP said, “This award is a testament to your unwavering dedication, outstanding service, and commitment to excellence in providing a memorable experience for your patrons.

From all the votes you received, and the comments made by your customers, it is clear that you offer an exceptional quality of service and a warm and inviting atmosphere for all.  The overwhelming majority of the reasons provided by those who voted for you spoke of how great your team is and the high standards you continuously maintain.  Your establishment is a mainstay of Chelmsey Wood and adds immeasurably to the local community”.

Dayle Guerin and Darren Shaw, licensees of the The Greenwood pub said, “We are delighted to receive this recognition.  We have a great team here at the Greenwood and wonderful customers making it a pub for everyone and we’d like to thank Saqib for the recognition and such kind words”.
